Live Illustration at Loro Piana Made to Order Shoe Launch Event

FullSizeRender.jpeg

I was invited recently to illustrate for Loro Piana when they launched their exclusive Made To Order Shoes in Singapore. Customers each received a unique art piece featuring their personalised pair of shoes set in one of three scenarios to depict how these iconic shoes are both stylish and versatile, be it in a bustling city, a balmy seaside or an idyllic countryside.

It was such a pleasure to draw and paint the exact same pair of shoes that will be made exclusively and personalised for their customers. Just the perfect little gift for them to take home in anticipation of their perfect pair of shoes to be made in Italy and be ready in 6 to 8 weeks‘ time.

Personalised Monograms at MCM Private Event

20190917_195539.jpeg

I had as much fun Live Monogramming at the MCM flagship store as my usual live fashion illustration.

By the way, did you know that MCMwas initially named after Michael Cromer who founded and  launched the brand in Munich. It was later on when it was acquired by Korean entrepreneur Sung-Joo Kim, then it was renamed Mode Creation Munich. It doesn’t really matter I guess, as MCM still stands for luxury travel goods that embodies the bold, irreverent and aspirational for many of its fans.

Would you have guessed that these leather bag tags and cotton totes were all hand painted freehand and without using any stencils? I had actually brought along a ruler and masking tapes but found that I didn’t need them after all.

Live Fashion Portraits at Chopard’s Private Event

Always a pleasure drawing the guests of one of my favourite clients. Other than doing what I love most, drawing, at these live Illustration sessions, , I always look forward to the interesting conversations with the people I meet. I am quite capable of drawing and painting and my eyes on the paper in front of me at the same time while still having a chat about fashion and art (of course!), music, travel and even C-dramas. Anything, as long as it is not politics and finance!

Live Fashion Portraits for Bvlgari Parfums Omnia Collection

20190427_133715.jpeg

This has got to be one of the most fun projects that I have done. From designing the concept of featuring each of the Special Edition Bvlgari Parfums Omnia Candy Collection as a delicious treat to live illustrating customers, it has been one sweet experience. .

To further enhance the delightful sensory experience of the Bvlgari Omnia Candy Collection, I designed and illustrated the four perfumes as four different sweet treats to be savoured at Bvlgari’s Italian pasticceria pop-up store.

Four girls were illustrated enjoying these delicious confections while depicting the joy, pleasure and exuberance of these fragrances.

Join me as we indulge in a whimsical world of colourful eye candies and sweet smelling fragrances. The Limited Edition Omnia Candy Collection is pure pleasure for the senses. Yum!

Live Fashion Illustration at The MU/SE Society X Longines Private Event

It was such a delight to illustrate some of the lovely ladies at the recent THE MU/SE SOCIETY X LONGINES private event.

When Longines asked for blue flowers to be designed and featured with the illustrations of their guests at the recent THE MU/SE SOCIETY X LONGINES event, I couldn’t be happier. Blue is their brand colour and my favourite hue too.

I had painted the monochrome flowers in watercolour in such a way that they look transparent and almost glass-like to reflect Longines’ DNA of timeless elegance.

Huge thanks to the Longines Team for entrusting me with the entire design process and for having me as part of this wonderful event.

Live Fashion Illustration at The Ritz-Carlton “Pret-a-Porter” Easter Brunch

20190421_162823.jpeg

When I was invited to illustrate live at The Ritz-Carlton’s Easter Brunch which has a theme of “Pret-a-Porter”, I was expecting to be drawing a lot of fashionable guests. And yes, I was right..okay...half right...I ended up drawing a lot of kids who are no less stylish than their parents! And of course, I do get some special requests too. I drew a baby rabbit and 2 unicorns. My “reward” for going off-theme?  3 Golden Chocolate Easter Eggs!!

And this is Chef Benjamin, the very first chef that I illustrated. Think I would need go back there one day soon to try his madeleines dipped in chocolate that he highly recommended.
